9th 10th Muharram (Ashura) 2022 Date in Pakistan

Muharram marks the commencement of the Islamic New Year and is measured the 2nd holiest month later than Ramzan in Islamic Calendar. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee sights the Muharram-ul-Haram moon which rings in the new Islamic year 1443 AH. The year is approximately 11 days shorter in comparison to Gregorian calendar and the initiation of each month is marked by the detection of new moon.
