The Graduate Assessment Test (GAT-SUBJECT) is designed for individuals seeking admission in Ph.D. programs, as well as for recruitment purposes. This subject test evaluates a candidate’s ability to analyze, solve problems, understand relationships, and interpret material in a specific area of study.

To be eligible to appear in the GAT-SUBJECT test, a candidate must have completed a minimum of eighteen years of education. Candidates who have previously taken the test and wish to improve their score can also apply, subject to meeting the specified criteria of the universities.

It’s important to note that mobile phones are not permitted in the test center premises. The test result will remain valid for two years for admission purposes, and the validity of the GAT (General/Subject) for two years will be effective from 1st January 2007 onwards.
