Former champions, Quetta Gladiators will be seem to bounce back after 2 disappointing seasons in Pakistan Super League (PSL). Quetta finished outside the play-offs position for the first time in their history in PSL 5 and over outside the top 4 again in PSL 6. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) frees the schedule for the tournament where it publicizes that the first match will be played in Karachi among Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings on 27th January 2022.

Following an opening ceremony, defending champions Multan Sultans will get on hosts and 2020 champions Karachi Kings at the National Stadium with the initial ball to be bowled at 7pm Pakistan Time.
